Our floor rugs are a double weave so lovely and thick and robust. Mostly Herdwick with the addition of some white wool from the local Swaledale sheep. They are grey on one side and light on the other – 2 designs one has dark Herdwick on the grey side and the other has light Herdwick on the grey side. Woven at Farfield Mill in Sedbergh to our design.
The width is 110cm and we can cut any length – 150cm makes a nice proportion.

Pam Hall is a hand weaver, working mainly in wool from her own sheep. Her inspiration comes from the ever changing magnificent landscape of her local area, the Northern Fells of the English Lake District.
Fornside is a working sheep farm. Most of our sheep are Herdwicks, the iconic Lakeland breed. They are the hardiest of sheep well suited for harsh winters on the fells. The wool is relatively coarse but full of character and very hardwearing.
