Our handwoven products are something special, sure to be appreciated whether bought as a gift or for yourself. Have a browse through the shop – I also do commissions for handwoven items.
On the farm we have mainly Herdwick sheep but also a small number of Wensleydale, Shetland and Gotland sheep. This gives us an interesting range of wool types and colours which we make full use of.
I handweave a number of items in my studio, using our own/local wool. We have some items in stock and others are woven to order:
We also produce a range of rugs and throws in co-operation with a nearby farm under the Helvellyn Herdwicks range. These are woven for us at Farfield Mill in Sedbergh, Cumbria and in the Scottish Borders.

Pam Hall is a hand weaver, working mainly in wool from her own sheep. Her inspiration comes from the ever changing magnificent landscape of her local area, the Northern Fells of the English Lake District.
Fornside is a working sheep farm. Most of our sheep are Herdwicks, the iconic Lakeland breed. They are the hardiest of sheep well suited for harsh winters on the fells. The wool is relatively coarse but full of character and very hardwearing.
